What Does a Girl Gotta Do?

What will it take to get some more support for our CureSearch Team???
A Song?
A Dance?
Some yummy cupcakes or cookies or something???
Name your request and I just might surprise you!

The CureSearch Walk is coming up September 29th. I still need support for this.
I set a goal to raise $500, and I am not quite there.
It only costs $10 for adults, free for kids to be either a walker or a virtual walker.
Aside from donating money, I need walkers for our team. Please don't make us be the only family there walking by ourselves!!!

I can't promise that this will be my last post about these upcoming walks, but we are running out of time. Please consider supporting and honoring Brynlee in one of the upcoming walks.
The CureSearch Walk is September 29th at 8 a.m. at Sugar House Park.
The HopeKids Wasatch Adventure Walk is October 13th at 9 a.m. at Farmington Station, and I would just ask for a $10 donation for this walk as we are trying to raise $125 for HopeKids.

Here are all of the details on how to register and why we are walking:

CureSearch donates all of the money raised from this walk (100%) and nearly all of the other money donated to them through other means (over 94%) raised to the Children's Oncology Group (no other cancer research group can claim this!), which Brynlee's oncology doctors are a part of this group. Without the research they are doing and have done, Brynlee would have likely undergone much more treatment (including a bone marrow transplant/stem cell rescue) than she did because 20 years ago they did not know what they know today. Because of this research, they know that in cases like Brynlee's given her age and the biology of her tumors that we could stop treatment after just chemotherapy and the tumor shrinking past 90%. I think this is outstanding, and I hope that through our efforts to raise money for CureSearch that we will benefit future childhood cancer patients and hopefully new medicines and treatments will come to pass that will enable childhood cancers to have a 100% cure rate.

The other group/walk that we are supporting is the Wasatch Adventure 5K and 1 Mile Walk for HopeKids on Saturday, October 13th at Farmington Station at 10:30 a.m. HopeKids has provided our family free activities to attend, which these activities were definitely a highlight for us and the girls while we were going through Brynlee's cancer treatment. We have been to several movies, a Christmas Party, Hollywood Connection, and Cowabunga Bay plus many more activities. HopeKids has asked that each family that belongs to HopeKids try and raise $125, which we are trying to do. They rely on this fundraiser to help with the costs associated with the activities that we get to attend. This 1-mile walk will be extremely family friendly with many stations along the way where you never know who you will run in to. You might meet a local college mascot, storm troopers, Disney princesses, or whoever was able to come this year. So definitely fun for the family to attend.

So, long story short, we are asking our family and friends to support us with these two fundraisers and come walk with us. We don't feel that we have asked too much from everyone during this past year considering it all, but we are asking you now to help support these two causes that are near and dear to our hearts. Don't feel obligated to donate to both, but please consider one that you would like to support and one that you would like to try and attend with us.

To Register for the CureSearch Walk go to:
Click on "Register"
Click on "I Agree"
Click "Join a Team"
Type in "kickin it" and click "search" where it says "Or, if you know the team name, enter it here:"
Our team "Kickin It with Brynlee" should come up, click on the link that says "Join Team"
Then you will be required to fill out this form for EACH walker, including your children. Yes, you do have to fill out a username and passerword for each, but I just used my email for each of my children. The great thing is that they don't send you unwanted emails. The only emails I have received was when someone donated or joined our team. Sorry! I know it is a pain, but we very much appreciate your support! You can use a credit card to pay the $10 fee (or however much you would like to donate :-) ).

For the HopeKids Wasatch Adventure go to:
Click on "Donate"
Submit your information, and you are done.
